1,000 jobs on way as EDS wins MoD deal

Up to 1,000 jobs are on their way to North Tyneside with plans from global computer services firm EDS to massively expand its North East operation.

EDS, which already employs 4,000 people in the region at Newcastle, Washington and Peterlee, has taken on 100,000 sq ft at Cobalt Business Park – the biggest office letting in the region this year.
